First day of Second Grade

Thank you for letting me share a little bit of my life with you. If you’re a teacher, I bet you’ll find my life is a lot like yours; fast-paced, chaotic, messy, organized, unorganized, and sometimes a little sticky for no apparent reason. There are days I want to cry, days I want to scream, but the majority of the days my heart is overfilled with love for my students and pure happiness in the job I get to call mine… [read more]

#3 Calendar 2015  #3 Calendar 2015

I am beyond blessed! It’s because of people like you that I have decided to reach out further and share my experiences on this website. I’ve also taken cues from all your messages and posts. Yelp, I’m creating a calendar, in which, I will be sharing my photos, classroom chaos, and funny student stories with everyone. So, if you’re interested, click on over to the “Shop” page! Where everything for sale will benefit education, because I’m giving the profits back to education. (View larger: photo, grid)

*100% of all calendar profits are donated back to teachers!

Kindness Cards

emkindnessI hope you like our Kindness Cards! The messages used are actual kindness messages that have been shared with me from my grade school students. What makes the cards even more special is the fonts used were created from actual students’ handwriting.

Straight out of the innocent minds of today’s youth, these little notes of kindness will warm your heart! Click here to see the different cards.

Pictured: Em is in 3rd grade and I used her handwriting to create one of the fonts for the Kindness Cards! Don’t you just love a child’s handwriting… Too sweet!

*A portion of all card sales are donated back to teachers!

Social Media

2016-09-30-1475236577-9265213-socialmediaimageDon’t be alarmed if you happen across one of my online accounts and find you are the 1st to follow. I’m not new to social media, but “The Weary Teacher” is, so it will take me a little while to build these accounts.

As you all have probably already gathered… I’m a teacher; therefore, I post when I can. You know somewhere between, lesson plans, recess duty and the 10 minute lunch I ate on the run today. Actually, we all know that’s not true, there is NO time during the day to add anything new to my plate, lol! So, just share, share, SHARE and I’ll do my best to drop-in with a little post and from time-to-time a few project ideas! Thanks for supporting this teacher’s startup. You are awesome!

Be sure to follow: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube & Pinterest and #thewearyteacher!
